A Mother's Love

A Mother's Love
Dedicated to my loving mother - Sylvia

As a child I falter,
But she was there to bear me up.
In her mouth a sad sad smile,
Which spoke of the pain she felt.
She wiped away my pain and tears,
And kissed away the wounds and fears.
She held my hand and didn't let go.
And walked me through childhood,
watching me grow.

(Now 19 years have hence passed...)

Yet, she still does all those in the past.
Though my wounds are a differnt kind,
I know she wishes to heal the scars.
She tells me not to be afraid,
If I need anyone, she's there ahead.
Though my childhood has now gone,
I know my mother will not.
And she will stay with me as
I continue to grow...
